Ann’s brother Ryan and his wife Danielle have made their way to Colorado for some snowboarding, and they are here after a week of snowfall in the mountains. We spend the morning making our way to the Winter Park Ski Area, check into the Sundowner motel, and hop on the free shuttle to the ski area. Much of the foot of new snow that fell during the week is still here, and more is falling. It’s cold (-30° F on top they say), which is good for preserving the snow, but we’re a little underdressed. Not enough to turn us back, though – we play in the good snow until the lifts close. My camera battery dies after taking pictures on the bus.
