Our friend Brian proposes a Tule Peak hike and Ann immediately says yes – it seems like the perfect idea for another day in the clear skies of our persistent high pressure system. The significant climb is graced by a soaring golden eagle, Tule’s interesting volcanic hoodoos, and a large herd of antelope.
I’m interested in tracking the mountain peaks and ranges we visit this year, just to help appreciate how many we have around us. This is our first peak of the year, and the Virginia Mountains are our second mountain range. (The first was our much-loved Carson Range).
