It began pouring about a minute after I capped the pen. It lasted all night. We packed up in the rain. We ate breakfast in the rain. We ate lunch in the rain. It didn’t rain during dinner! We did pitch the tent in the rain. Right now its raining. All our cloths are wet. Our sleeping bags are wet. The outlook is generally damp. I would add some detail but I think the above is a fine summation. Well over ten years ago I read a National Geographic article on the newly completed PCT. The cover picture was two people hiking through a downpour. That’s when this started. Today we were those two people.
