In the evening our dog Jezze looks at me with big, question-mark eyes, and I notice her bowl is empty. Usually Ann feeds her, but I grab the nearest food bag and pour some in. Instantly I see it’s cat food. Jezze doesn’t care though, and starts munching away. Out of curiosity, I pour some actual dog food in another bowl and set it beside the cat food. Jezze sniffs it, and returns to munching on cat food. Meanwhile our cat, T Rex, has been attracted by all the food pouring. And, to complete the topsy-turvy antics, he begins munching on the bowl of dog food.

T-REX has ALWAYS been part dog. However, this is the first time I’ve known Jezze to act like a cat…. except she wasn’t she was acting like a dog by eating catfood, that’s what dogs do. Ha!
first let me say, I DON’T LIKE IT THAT EVERYONE ELSES NAME IS HUGE AND MINE IS VERY SMALL.
yes… the whole thing unfolded in a rather humorous way. dylan and i were both sun-flogged. we had also bouldered pretty hard.
i came over with a couple of brews and dylan cracked ’em.
he admonished Jezzebel for being “so needy”, citing that we had been at WW for a while and that should have been satisfactory.
he then noticed her empty bowl and surmised that THIS was the reason for “neediness”… i.e., she needed to eat, as all living critters do.
i told dylan he was an an “effing imbecile”…. then retracted moments later.
dylan then said “Dang.. i just put cat food in Jezzebel’s bowl”. at that point, i re-instated my comment.
i was feeling pretty delirious from all the sun and it was kinda funny.
Jezzebel wolfed down her ‘cat’ food. when she was done, dylan decided to put dog food in another bowl. at that point, T-Rex came over and started mowin’ the dog food. at this point, i realized it was time to go. heh.
